Quilled Lavender Tutorial

To make these delicate lavender blossoms you will need:
* Purple 3mm quilling strips measuring 11cms (7 or 9 pieces)
* Green 3mm quilling strips 6-8cms in length
* Slotted quilling tool
* Clear drying glue (I use PVA)
* Tweezers

INSTRUCTIONS

Start by rolling each purple strip into a tight coil or peg.

Then pinch each peg between your thumb and forefinger to create an oval shape.

You will need 9 ovals for every medium bunch of lavender.
7 for a small bunch
And 11-13 for a large bunch.

Remember, it always has to be an odd number.

To assemble, start by sticking one of the oval flowers to the tip of the green quilling strip which will form the stalk. Then adding one on each side of the stalk at a slight angle.

Leave it to dry completely before lifting it off your mat. If you still find it stuck use the edge of a cutting blade to gently slide underneath and wriggle it free.

You can snow use these lavender bunches in your designs.
