This was a custom cake I created for my grandmum's 90th birthday.
It's a moist lemon Victorian sponge cake with a layer of chocolate ganache and covered in white chocolate.
Grandma loved needlework and she was always doing something or the other - embroidery, crochet, stitching, cross stitch or knitting.
So obviously, that was the theme of her 90th birthday cake.
The elements on the cake are a fondant measuring tape, rolls of thread, knitting in progress and 2 balls of wool. This was the year my grandma became a great grandma... so written on one of the woollen balls was:
*Mum
*Grandma
*Great grandma
