COPPER & MALACHITE EARRINGS
I love nature and was excited at the chance to finally work with copper. I'd heard so much about it and was especially intrigued with the healing properties and health benefits attributed to this metal. So of course I had to pair it with a green tone stone. Originally I thought peridot would do the trick but when I saw how well the deep green of the malachite paired with the earthiness of the copper I was struck.
I like how the multiple bands of different shades of green reminds me of the different shades of green in a forest.
The hoops are handmade from copper wire and hammered to help strengthen and retain their shape. The tiny malachite beads are wrapped around the hoops with finer wire.
